Watercolor painting to me is a beautiful way to capture people and places at a particular place in time and being able to share it with others.
My interest is in painting people and places doing everyday things; swimming, boating, fishing, wildlife habitats with a “paintbrush of color”! If I can make one person smile and feel that living here in southern New England is a blessing….for everywhere I look there are wonderful sights to see and paint…then my art holds meaning.
I grew up here in Rhode Island and have lived here my whole life. I have studied art through high school and at the Rhode Island College Art Program. Watercolor painting is my focus and favorite art medium. I like how transparent it is and how you work quickly with it. Most especially, I love the little surprises that happen sometimes when colors mix or when the water pulls the colors into new areas.
I have recently dedicated myself to my painting full time, so that I can create and share a bit of myself and perspective with others.
